Does lymphatic massage hurt? No. It is the weight of a nickel and the rhythm of a heartbeat. It is a gentle stretch across the vessel and slow, gentle forward movement.t.

How many sessions are needed with cosmetic surgery? I recommend starting from 1 to 2 weeks post op. This is Dr.s recommendation. Optimally. 3 sessions close together then 2 a week for 2 to 3 weeks. Everyone heals differently so this is a recommendation. Some clients opt for continued treatment until they are 2 months out. This takes several months off the total healing time.

How long until I see results? Each session will result in improvement. By the 3rd session clients feel better and see better improvement. Results may vary but this is the average.

How about scar tissue, does lymph drainage help? Scar tissue is visible at approximately 3 weeks. At this point I incorporate myofascial release to gently soften the scar tissue. Treating this tissue as it forms keeps it from becoming hard and lumpy.

What procedures can lymphatic massage help? Lymphatic massage increases healing by 10x. I have treated all procedures of the face, neck, body and joints. Face life, nose, chin, eyes, forehead and ears. Liposuction, tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, breast reduction and enhancements. Hip replacements, knee procedures, rotator cuff, carpel tunnel. When can a cancer patient receive treatment? I have been sent patients by oncologists to treat them between chemotherapy sessions. Usually, 3 days out. This helps the body prepare for the next infusion. Also, post-surgery to assist with healing. Treatments for lymphedema post operative.
Sports Massage
1. How can sports massage help me? During the initial session an assessment is done. This shows me your posture, holding patterns, muscle imbalances etc. Through soft tissue work the muscular system is balanced which balances the skeleton. Exercises, strengthening and stretches are suggested for continued improvement. Also, ergonomics of workstations and activity are discussed to offer suggestions to correct that which is causing the imbalance.
2. How often should I get sports massage? The level of correction needed determines the treatment. 1 session a week until the correction is set. Then every 2 weeks until it holds. 3 weeks then once a month for maintenance. This is optimal.
3. Can carpel tunnel be helped? Yes. Using trigger point therapy, myofascial release strain counter strain. Stretching and strengthening is offered once the correction is complete. Once a month for maintenance. Ergonomics are also discussed to eliminate the cause.
